What Do I Do Now That I Am Saved?

Before I get into the subject of this post, here is a
link to a very short, but important book from Chick
Publications that will help you learn how to grow
in your faith in Jesus Christ and how to live to
please God the Father in heaven. (I do not get a
commission from Chick, I just have read this
handy reference book several times, and think it’s
an awesome learning tool for all Christians to
read!) Link here.

Now to the subject of this post…

I recommend that you start studying the Bible in New
Testament in order to learn what Jesus Christ taught
his followers about living a godly life that is pleasing
to God the Father in heaven. When you live in
obedience to God who sacrificed His sinless Son
for you, you will feel guilt-free, joyful, and full of
peace because you are right with God.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth.

I recommend that you use the King James
Bible only. Why? The King James Bible was
around for hundreds of years before the 1800's
when sinful mankind (like necromancers* Westcott
and Hort) decided that they knew better than
God what His Holy Bible should have said!
The King James Bible was the Bible that
brought about the Reformation and worldwide
revivals. There have been no revivals since
the newer versions have been created. Think
about that. That's the difference between
having a Holy Bible that contains God's Words
instead of a man-made 'bible' that is man's
words not God’s Words!

(*Necromancers are people who talk to the dead.
They are not really talking to people who lived like
their loved ones, but to devils who are imitating
those people to keep people hooked on the occult.)

Here is a link to my post called 'Proofs the
KJV is the Word of God' that has many resources
that will help you search the facts for yourself, and
some questions for you seriously need to think about.
Link here.

Living like Jesus commanded us to live, will
transform your your thoughts, your actions,
and your words! You truly will be "a new creature"
and no longer desire the activities that caused
you to sin against God before you were saved.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new.

But, don't neglect studying the Old Testament.
It is very important because it shows us just how
very loving, merciful, and patient God is towards us.
It shows us prophecies that God predicted about
Jesus Christ's life, death and resurrection that were
fulfilled in the New Testament. The Old Testament
also shows us yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies when
God will judge the world for their rejection of his
Son, Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of everyone!
Seeing how Old Testament prophecies were
fulfilled in the New Testament will strengthen
your faith in God and in knowing that the Bible
is true! Also you will see how God keeps all of
his promises to us!

Attend a church to worship and praise God, to
learn the Bible, along with other believers, to
encourage one another, and to serve God.

And, if that church does not preach Jesus
Christ and strictly from the Word of God,
LEAVE, and find a church that does! You can
find King James Bible churches by searching
them out on the internet.

Pray to God daily. Just talk to him like you
would to any friend. Tell him about your
needs and the needs of your friends and
loved ones. Ask him to forgive you of any
sins you have committed that day. Ask
him for help with your problems and to
take over any situations that you cannot
handle by yourself. Praise him for the
blessings he has given you that day.
But, most of all, be still and listen for him
to speak to your heart about what
he wants you to do that day.

Get baptized. Baptism is a public
testimony or witness to other people that you
have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal
Saviour and how he has changed your life.
Jesus was baptized as an example to us, his
followers, so we would do the same in obedience
to God.

BUT BE AWARE THAT BAPTISM DOES
NOT SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SINS, AND
WILL NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN!

Jesus Christ's death and resurrection paid
your sin-debt in full!

Baptism is only a ceremony we go through
in obedience to God to witness publicly
about how Christ saved us from our sins
and changed our lives from the inside out.

Getting baptized witnesses to others that
they, too, can have peace with God when
they accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour.

Last, but not least, share your faith with
others. Tell them what Jesus Christ has
done to change your life and make you
a better person who is at peace with
God. Jesus told his disciples (that
includes us) to spread the good news
of His gospel of salvation by faith in His
death and resurrection to everyone we
can. I have heard it said that that is the
job of the preachers. But many people
will never set foot in a church, but are
longing to know how to get to heaven
and avoid hell!

Mark 16:15 (Jesus’ words in red)
And he said unto them, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature.

Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess
me before men, him will I confess also
before my Father which is in heaven.

And in case you have not yet
been saved from your sins and want
to go to heaven when you die, the Bible
tells us how to do that.

1. Admit to God in heaven that you are
a sinner. (We are all sinners.)

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God;

2. Be willing to turn from your sin
(repent).

Luke 13:3 (Jesus said:)
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye
repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance
God winked at; but now commandeth
all men every where to repent:

3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins,
was buried, and rose from the dead.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

4. Through prayer invite Jesus into your
heart and life as your personal Saviour.

Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth
confession [to God the Father in heaven]
is made unto salvation.

An example of what to pray...

Dear God, I am a sinner in need of
forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ
died for my sins. I am willing to turn from
my sins. I now invite Jesus to come into
my heart and life as my personal Saviour.

And if you did that, congratulations! You are
now a child of God! I hope to see you in heaven.

Galatians 3:26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in
Christ Jesus.
