Compare the following two Bible verses (further below), first in the KJB (the King James Bible), then in the NIV (the New International version) and then in the NASB (the New American Standard Bible).
The KJB was in print hundreds of years before men decided that God had lied to us and that He had not preserved His Holy words for us, although He told us many times that He would.
First of all, God cannot lie!
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Because God cannot lie, if He says He will preserve His Holy Bible, He will do it! He is all powerful!
Jeremiah 32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Here are just a few of the many Bible verses where God promised to preserve his Holy Word!
Psalms
12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Psalm 119:160
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Matthew 24:35 (Jesus said:)
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Back to the Bible verses below. Look closely at them. After you read them, I will explain why the changes which these 'bible' version creators and publishers have made to God's Holy Word (the KJB) have altered the very foundation of our Christian faith and our salvation! Read further to find out why I say that.
Luke 2:33

In the King James Bible Joseph is NOT called Jesus's father because he was only Jesus' earthly, legal stepfather! God Almighty in heaven is Jesus' Father because Jesus Christ is the Son of God!
When the NIV and NAS publishers changed God's Holy Word to say that Joseph is Jesus's father, they are...
(1) denying that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in heaven!!!
(2) stating that Jesus is JUST a man with an earthly father and mother, which then would make Jesus Christ a sinner just like the rest of us!
(3) And if Jesus Christ is JUST a sinner like the rest of us, then He would not have been able to pay the price for the sins of the world which is the shedding of SINLESS BLOOD.
Sinless Blood was God's requirement for payment of our sins to get us into heaven. Jesus' Sinless Blood would cover us so that when God looks down at us (those who have Jesus as their Saviour), God the Father in heaven does not see our sins, but He sees the sinless blood of Jesus Christ covering us to make us acceptable in God's holy sight.
But also the King James Bible shows that Mary was conceived of the Holy Ghost (part of the Godhead), proving that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not the son of Joseph, a sinful man!

1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
The NIV and NASB have changed the Word of God (the KJB) to deny Jesus Christ's deity as the Son of God!
If we believe what the NIV and NASB versions say about Jesus and his birth, then we have nothing to pin our hopes on because then (according to those 'bible' versions) Jesus Christ is JUST a man like every other sinful man, and He could not save us!
God also warns us at the end of His Holy Word about adding to or taking away from His Bible! Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour said:
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:31
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luke 21:33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
I would not want to be the people who created and published these newer 'bible' versions when they face Jesus Christ at the Judgment!
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
God's warnings in the last book of the Bible about what happens to those who change God's Holy Word are scary! God always means what he says and does what he promises to do!!!
Revelation
22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
