Serious Deletions In The NIV!

I have done several short Bible studies on the NIV in the past on this site; and then one of my readers commented and asked me to do more such studies on the NIV. So, here is the first of those studies in response to my reader. I hope this is helpful to you all.

For this Bible study I used the NIV (1973, 1978, 1984, and 2011) on eSword to compare it with the KJV.

eSword is an online software Bible study program that you can download for free that comes with the KJV on it (for free). I also purchased other versions of the Bible on eSword in order to do comparison studies with the real Word of God, the King James Bible.

NIV - New International Version
KJV - King James Version

Now, to the deletions in the NIV bible. Be aware that these are only some of the deletions. There are too many to list here.

"Christ" is Jesus' title, signifying that He was sent from God to be the anointed King of Kings and Saviour of the world.

Christ is in the NIV - 481 times

Why did the NIV remove "Christ" 90 times from their bible?

Why would the NIV remove the title "Comforter" (the name that Jesus gave to the Holy Ghost) from their bible?

People in these troubled times need to know that the Holy Ghost that indwells all true believers is their Comforter! The NIV replaces Comforter with Advocate. When I am hurting I would rather have a Comforter, wouldn't you?

Why would the NIV remove "peace" from their bible 177 times?

Why would the NIV remove tribulation 21 times from their bible? People need to be warned that there is great tribulation that is coming to the earth in the last days (we are living in them now) when God will pour out his wrath on all those in the world who reject His Sinless Son as their Saviour.

This is just a small sample of what is missing from the NIV bible. If you would like to do further study, I highly recommend the book 'Look What's Missing' by David W Daniels at Chick Publications' website. Mr. Daniels did an amazing job showing what's missing in a lot of newer bible versions. It will shock you as it did me, I am sure. I love this book and I hope it helps you in your search for the truth about the NIV and other newer bible versions. Link here.
