Newer bible Corruptions in Revelation 22:18 and 22:19

God warns us more than once in His Holy-Spirit-inspired Bible (the KJV) that there are eternal consequences for adding to His Word or taking away from it.

This Bible study will show you just how the newer man-made corrupt bible versions have changed the meaning of the warnings in Revelation 22:18 and 22:19 about messing with God's Holy Word - warnings that God gave us to keep us from sinning against Him by changing His Bible and to keep us out of hell!

Bold in Bible verses is for emphasis.

Here are both verses of warnings from God from the last Book of his Holy Word, the King James Bible telling us not to add to or take away from His Holy Word, and what He will do to us if we disobey Him!

Revelation 22:18

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

These are scary warnings from God of eternal consequences!

In the KJV God is warning us if we remove words from his Preserved Holy Bible that he will remove our name out of "the book of life"! Yikes!

Why is that important?

Because God also says that if our name is not written in "the book of life' that we will
be cast into the lake of fire (hell)! So, thank God that He put these warnings in his Holy Word for us!

Revelation 20:15 (KJV:)
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Deuteronomy 4:2

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Now, let us see what the corrupted newer man-made bible translations of Revelation 22:18 and 22:19 say versus God's Holy Spirit inspired King James Bible.

Revelation 22:19 (KJV):
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Now read how seven man-made corrupted bible versions have removed God's warnings to us that would save us from committing these sins that God says will send us to hellfire! These versions have changed "the book of life" to the "tree of life", two very different things as I will show you later in this post.

Now read Revelation 22:19 in those man-made bible versions:

(ESV) and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

(ISV) If anyone takes away any words from the book of this prophecy, God will take away his portion of the tree of life and the holy city that are described in this book.

(NAS77) and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

(NASB) and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

(NIrV) If you take any words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from you your share in the tree of life. He will also take away your place in the Holy City. This book tells about these things.

(NIV) And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

(NLT) And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.

Now, to show you that "the tree of life" used in the newer corrupted versions is not the same as "the book of life" as shown in God's Holy Word, the KJV.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it [heaven], and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Now, do you see that the "tree of life" is not the same as "the book of life" to which we must all have our name in it or else we spend eternity in hell! How much does God care about His Holy Word and to not change it? God tells us...

Psalm 138:2

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou [God] hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
